Tableau - Connect to a Zookeeper Quorum
Context
Users want to connect to a zookeeper quorum with Tableau.
Resolution
As a workaround, Indexima developed a TDC file.
This type of file is referenced by Tableau in Using a TDC file with Tableau and was created using Connecting to Kerberos Enabled HDP With ZooKeeper Quorum.
Note that once the TDC file is set up, you can only connect to a Zookeeper Quorum.
If you need to connect to another HDP platform that doesn't support Zookeeper Quorum, you need to place the TDC file in another directory or change its extension so it can be ignored by your HDP platform.
Procedure for Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server
- Download the file from the indexima dossier below.
Change the service name inside the TDC file to adapt to your own zookeeper configuration.
- Make sure copy file into the correct folder
